Splitting revenue — secondary techs, multi-route jobs, and revenue after costs
A secondary tech
A route can have a secondary tech, alongside its crew. That might be a second lead, or a trainee. They get the route's jobs on My Day, in their calendars and on the iPhone.
- Set it on the route (Settings → Routes → Secondary tech) or for one day (Routes board → the crew → Secondary).
- Their share of the revenue:
- Split evenly (50/50): the default, for two leads.
- Trainee — no revenue: for a trainee paid hourly.
- A set percent: like 30% to the secondary and 70% to the lead.
- One job can use a different share: use the appointment's "Secondary tech's share on this job".
- Without routes: the appointment has its own Secondary tech box and share.
One job on several routes or days (a hotel)
On the job's appointment, click + Add Another Route or Day. It copies the job to the route, day and time you pick. The appointment page lists the job's visits.
- The job's revenue is shared across its visits: evenly, unless you type a Share % for a visit. The visits left blank share what's left.
- Each visit's share goes to the people on it. For example, a job over two days with A and B on day one and A and C on day two gives A 50%, B 25% and C 25%.
- Each person's credit counts on the day of their visit.
Revenue after costs
Settings → Tech Revenue (after costs) (owners and admins). Some work costs money to do: a commercial estimator, the rug plant, products like stain kits. Set how much of that revenue counts toward the techs:
- By department, like Commercial 80, where the other 20% pays the commercial estimator.
- By service or product, like Rug Cleaning 40 or Stain Removal Kit 0. These beat the department.
Reports (by tech) and the Scoreboard show both Revenue and Revised revenue. Customers' prices don't change.
