Setup
Rate sets: standard and contract rates
A rate set is a full price list: every surface, stairs, upholstery, add-ons, extra charges, and your service minimum.
Residential and commercial
Every customer is Residential or Commercial, and each type has its own Standard rate set, created automatically. Switch between them at the top of Settings.
- Commercial rates are per square foot, in bands or tiers.
- Residential rates can be per room or per square foot for each surface, with hall, closet, landing and oversized-room rates.
Contract rates
For a customer with special pricing (a contract, a church, a property manager), tap Add Commercial Contract Rates (or Residential), name it, and enter its prices. Then open the customer, tap Edit, and pick that rate set.
An estimate uses, in order:
- The customer's contract rates, if they match the estimate's type.
- Otherwise, the Standard rates for that type.
What's in each surface
Open a surface (for example Hot Water Extraction) to see:
- Proposal description — what you do, printed in the proposal's scope of work.
- Sq ft tiers — bands or whole-job tiers for this surface. See Square-foot pricing: bands or tiers.
- The rate table, with a Price Check.
- Stairs — per step, scaled by width. See Stairs pricing.
Repeat Cleanings (each rate set): no break, rate from the yearly total, or a discount by frequency for service-plan visits. See Multiple locations and repeat cleanings.
