Setup
Currency, metric and temperature
Office web page → Settings → Region. Owners and admins choose:
- Currency — US dollar, Canadian dollar, pound, euro, Australian or New Zealand dollar, peso, rand, Swiss franc, or Swedish, Norwegian or Danish krone.
- Measurements — Imperial (feet, square feet, miles, gallons, pounds) or Metric (metres, m², kilometres, litres, kg).
- Temperature — °F or °C.
New companies start in US dollars, imperial and °F.
What changes
Everything — the app, the office web page, proposals, invoices, the booking page, reports and emails — shows prices in your currency and sizes in your units. Card payments through Stripe are charged in your currency.
Switching later
- Measurements are converted for you. A 1,000 sq ft room shows as 92.9 m², a rate of $0.35 per sq ft shows as $3.77 per m², 50 miles shows as 80.5 km. Nothing you've measured changes, and prices stay exactly the same.
- Currency isn't converted. Your rates keep their numbers — only the symbol changes — so check your rate sets after switching. Proposals and payment links already sent keep the currency they went out in.
- QuickBooks has one home currency per company. Settings warns you if yours doesn't match.
- Authorize.net and QuickBooks Payments usually take US dollars only; use Stripe for other currencies.
Good to know
- Upholstery options charged "per seat / ft" stay in feet: one amount covers both seat-priced and length-priced pieces.
- Your Preflight plan is billed in US dollars either way.
