Floor plans, blueprints and maps on the web
Floor plans
In the customer's Scans, Floor Plans & Blueprints folder, click Open Full Size.
- Pick the plan (each walkthrough, merged plans, the whole building) and the level.
- A walkthrough shows its name (or its date), when it was done and who did it. Name it / Rename changes its name, the same as in the app.
- Merge walkthroughs… puts several walkthroughs (or merged plans) together as one named plan, picked all at once. Unmerge this plan splits a merged plan back up, keeping where you arranged them.
- Arrange rooms on the computer:
- Selecting: click a room (and whatever's fused to it). Shift-click adds more rooms.
- Fuse These keeps rooms together for good: the scans of one long hallway. Their overlap is billed once when you Save, the same as in the app.
- Name This Area (with a fused piece selected) gives it one name, like Floor 5 Hall. On estimates, on the web and in the app, a fused piece is one area: one row in the room picker and one line, with its square feet added up (overlaps already billed once). Rooms that aren't fused are still picked one by one, so you can add the halls and just the 50 guest rooms you're cleaning.
- Move pieces on their own (web) or Move Just This Piece (app): a fused piece that drifted while scanning (set off to the side, or on top of another) can be dragged into place by itself — it stays fused. When you Save, the overlap between the pieces is measured again from where they sit.
- Snap: a dragged room snaps its walls flush to the walls of rooms near it, the same as in the app. Hold Option (Mac) or Alt (Windows) while dragging to place it freely, or untick Snap. Square Up turns a room that's a little crooked back to straight.
- Levels: the level buttons across the top are always there (click one to see it). + Add Level makes a new level and asks for its name (Main Floor, Basement, Mezzanine). Rename (or double-click a level) changes its name, and Delete removes it: pick Delete the level and its rooms (extra duplicates, say) or keep the rooms and move them to another level. To change the order, drag a level button to where it goes, or use ◀ ▶ to move the level you're on. Names and order are the same in the app (Rename, Earlier and Later above the plan in Arrange Rooms) and on proposals.
- Move to: with rooms selected, click a level to move them there, + New Level to make one and move them onto it, or Automatic to let the scan's floor height decide. An added level is kept once rooms are on it and you Save.
- Duplicate onto copies the selection onto a level, right where it sits: the same hall on every floor.
- Delete Room / Delete These Rooms removes the selected rooms for good (the app has the same button). Any "Overlap with…" exclusion that pointed at them comes off the rooms that are left.
- Undo (or ⌘Z / Ctrl+Z) steps back.
- Scroll to zoom and drag to move. Fit shows the whole plan, and Print prints it.
- Click a room to open it.
- Blueprint: when a blueprint was lined up under this plan in the app (Floor Plans → Arrange Rooms → Blueprint), it shows underneath. The slider sets how strong it is.
The web page draws every plan straight from the scans — each walkthrough, merged plans and the whole building — with the rooms where the app's Arrange Rooms put them, so a plan shows even if nobody has opened it in the app. Rooms are moved and blueprints lined up in the app. Stairs drawn in the app don't show on the web yet. Scans still waiting to upload from a phone are listed at the top.
Stairs on the plan
Staircases counted in the app show on the plan with their treads and an arrow pointing up, in the room they were placed in (they move with that room in Arrange Rooms). They're also on the floor plan in a proposal PDF.
Stairs that aren't on the plan yet are listed at the right of the crew-marks bar: pick one, then click the plan where it is. Click a staircase to Turn ↻ it a quarter turn, Flip Up/Down, Move it (then click the new spot), or Take Off Plan. Steps and widths are still entered in the app.
Blueprints and maps
Under Blueprints & Maps on the customer page:
- Upload Image or PDF: pick the kind (Building Floor Plan / Blueprint, Fire / Evacuation Map, Other) and a title. Each page of a PDF becomes its own sheet, the same as importing in the app. Uploaded sheets show in the app too.
- Click a sheet to open it. Scroll to zoom and drag to move.
- + Add Pin, then click the spot. Give the pin a label and link it to a room (with an Open link) or a photo or video. Drag a pin to move it, and Delete Pin to remove it. Then Save.
- Change the title or kind, or Delete the sheet.
