The map, jobs by route, and customers nearby
Customer names and pins stay hidden until you turn something on, so nobody browses your whole customer list.
On the office web page: Map
Map at the top opens with nothing shown. Turn on what you need:
- Jobs: the day's appointments as numbered pins, one color per route (the people assigned), and a list by route with times and addresses. Pick another day with the date box, or one route with All routes. Everyone can use Jobs.
- Customers Near Jobs: the customers within the distance you pick (0.5 mi to start) of each of those jobs, listed under the job they're closest to, with their phone number so you can call and offer a visit while the crew is nearby. A circle on the map shows the distance around each job. Tick Include leads to add leads.
- Near Me: customers within the distance of where you are now. Allow your location when the browser asks. It's used on your screen only and isn't saved.
Customers Near Jobs and Near Me are for owners, admins, estimators and office staff; techs and Field Techs don't see them.
From an appointment, Customers near this job › opens the map with just that job and the customers around it — handy when you're booking a day and want to fill it nearby.
Tap a pin for the name, address, Open customer (or Open lead) and Directions. Teal pins are commercial customers, blue are residential, orange are leads.
In the app: Near Me
On Customers, tap Near Me (the location arrow, top left). The customers within 0.5 mi of you show, closest first, with how far each one is. Change the distance with the ruler menu. Tap Near Me again to hide them. Owners, admins, estimators and office staff have it; techs and Field Techs don't.
Where the locations come from
Each customer's and lead's site address is looked up automatically when it's added or changed. Older records saved before the map existed may not have a location yet: owners and admins see Find Missing Locations under the web map — press it to look them up (about a second each; with many, it does a batch and tells you to press again). Addresses that can't be found are listed so you can fix the spelling. A job shows on the map when its customer has a location.
