Morning meetings and new tech training
Office web page → Training. The tabs are Morning Meetings, New Techs, Techs & Levels and Lesson Library. Leadership links to them too.
Techs & Levels (start here)
Give each tech:
- a level: Trainee, Tech, Senior Tech or Team Lead (rename them under Morning Meetings → settings)
- the days they usually work
- a start date
The planner uses work days, route crews and time off to know who's at each meeting. A Trainee's start date begins their new tech calendar.
Morning Meetings
Set the days, time and length under Meeting settings (owners and admins). For example, Monday–Saturday at 7:30 for 40 minutes.
Each week the planner fills every meeting with the lessons the people there need:
- The right level: lessons at each tech's level, plus one level up as a stretch. A tech's own-level lessons come first.
- Repeats for anyone who missed one: a lesson taught earlier in the week comes back on a later morning for whoever wasn't there. If Cal only works Tuesday and Thursday, Monday's lesson repeats Tuesday for him. The week table marks these "repeat for Cal".
- Refreshers when due: safety lessons, for example, come back every 90 or 180 days.
Running the meeting: open the day to see each lesson's key points, the hands-on demo and the check questions (tap Show answers). Tick who's there and click Save Check-In. Their lessons are marked as had.
Changing a day: add a lesson, or take one off. That day is then set by hand and stays as set. Let the planner pick again undoes it.
On the iPhone, the Training tab shows Today's morning meeting. Leads can check people in from there too.
New Techs
A Trainee's first weeks, day by day, from their start date over the days they work, with time off skipped:
- Days 1–3: your company's foundation, safety and job flow lessons
- Days 4–5: an overview of every service
- Day 6: cleaning foundations
- After that: advanced carpet & fibers, then tile & grout, then upholstery
Tick lessons as they're done. The tech sees "Today" on their Training tab.
Lesson Library
- Preflight Academy lessons, drawn from the CCT (carpet & fibers), SMT (tile, grout & stone) and UFT (upholstery) manuals: service overviews, cleaning foundations, and the three advanced tracks.
- Your company's own lessons, imported or written by you.
Each lesson has its level, minutes, and its day in the new tech plan. Hide a lesson your company doesn't teach, and the planner skips it. Zerorez® companies also see Add to My Library for the Tech Flight Manual lessons.
Lessons never give chemical dilutions, pressures, temperatures or prices. They point to your company's own products and settings.
