Extra hose and portables by area
Some areas need more than the truck: a hotel's second floor needs extra hose, and its third floor needs a portable. A conference room on the ground floor needs neither.
Set it once for the place
- A whole floor: open the customer's Floor Plans, pick the floor, then fill in [Floor] needs: with the extra hose (feet) and/or Portable. Click Set for every room on this floor.
- One room: open the room's page and use Crew needs. For example, the 3rd-floor stairwell needs a portable even though the rest of that floor doesn't.
This is saved with the room, so every future estimate at that site uses it.
On an estimate
In Equipment for the crew, open Extra hose / portable by area. Each area on the estimate shows its room's needs, marked "from the room". You can change them for this estimate only, and Reset goes back to the room's. Areas you typed in (no scan) can have their own needs too.
What the crew sees
The job's Bring list adds a portable extractor if any area on the job needs one, and the longest extra hose any area needs. Hose isn't added up, because the longest one reaches the farthest area. Only the areas on the job count, so doing just the conference room adds nothing. The job sheet, on the office page and the iPhone, also lists which areas called for it, like "Floor 3 Hall — portable, 250 ft hose".
